Winter. We’re all in this together. Halley O’Brien and crew created this timely short film during a great start to winter in Colorado, while snow and cold temps seemed all but impossible on the east coast. The video went viral, reaching over 5 million people and achieving over half a million views on Facebook alone.
About The Snow Report
TSR’s mission is to create the most positive and inclusionary internet community in snow sports by remaining authentic, using relatable humor and storytelling, and by speaking to more than just the core.
Halley O’Brien serves as writer, host and producer of the show in conjunction with the talented team at SKI Magazine and Active Interest Media. Our brainstorm sessions are too much fun to be considered “work.” They usually involve bourbon and nerf guns.
The Rebottle, an extension of The Snow Report presented by SKI Magazine, is a winter lover’s response to “Whine About It” host Matt Bellessai and his questions for people who go skiing. The video went viral – within 12 hours of posting the video, we received over 200,000 views and nearly 600,000 views to date. The Rebottle’s success is attributed to its timeliness, reliability, and humor throughout. The custom shot ski and mini bicycle probably helped a bit too. The video was conceptualized, written and produced by Halley O’Brien with the help of SKI Magazine and a patient Uber driver.
First Impressions, Lasting Impressions was a part of Whistler Blackcomb’s 2014/2015 winter campaign. Halley O’Brien joined forces with Whistler Blackcomb, Origin Design + Communications and The Solidarity Union to create a piece that showcases a well rounded, all-mountain vacation experience while connecting to viewers through imaginative and inspirational storytelling.
