There are always two questions, in this order.
1) Is that the Apple Watch?
2) How do you like it?
Well, I decided to make a video breaking down what I consider to be the top 5 features on the Apple Watch. There are probably many more awesome things I’ve yet to discover (as I’ve only had the watch for a little over a month).
That being said, here we go.
1) Watch
It’s a good watch. It always knows the time and when I look at it, I know the time too. Seems silly but… it’s a watch. So that basic functionality is a good thing.
2) Calls & Texts
SUPER convenient. Text messages while driving, biking and cooking? And come winter… it’s going to be a game changer while skiing and snowboarding.
3) Fitness (a.k.a. Activity Monitor and Exercise Apps)
I don’t own a FitBit or any other heart rate monitor, so this was one of the biggest selling points for me. As for its accuracy, I have nothing to compare it to, because like I said, I don’t have a FitBit and never have.
4) Maps
Let me set the scene. I’m in the passenger seat and someone else is driving. They ask me to get directions someplace. I oblige. After a few miles in, I’m perusing Facebook and totally forget I’m supposed to be navigating. Well, the watch saves me every single time. A gentle tap on the wrist lets me know I HAD ONE JOB and to turn left in 500 feet.
5) Digital Touch
What can I say? It’s a crowdpleaser! Put the watch on someone’s wrist and ask them to send a digital touch heartbeat to someone else. Their reactions are absolutely incredible. In fact, I’ve never felt more like David Blaine.
